Very deliberately, he reclaimed the country’s long tradition of opposing economic consolidation. Calling out both presidents Roosevelt—Republican Theodore, who oversaw part of the Progressive Era, and Democrat Franklin, who oversaw the New Deal—Biden celebrated their attempt to rein in the power of big business, first by focusing on the abuses of those businesses and then by championing competition.
The administration put together a whole-of-government approach to restore competition based on the 72 separate actions outlined in Biden’s executive order. A terrific piece today by David Dayen in The American Prospect suggests that the effort has worked. Joe Biden is a scammer. Hes the worse President ever. Poor Pres Carter is glad he came along. Until he did, Carter held that title. That being said, Gingrich is kind of correct here. There is something wrong with Biden. Possibly due to his medical issues he had years ago when he got that aneurysm. In 1988 he had two aneurysms. So it could be residual effects of those issues. Biden slurs his words, sometimes. Hes stiff legged, he doesn't bend his knees as he walks. He's sleepy, he probably takes a load of medicines like blood pressure and cholesterol and something for blood clots maybe. Like most his age do. But he does okay. I dont think he has full blown dementia. If he did, he wouldn't be able to function. Biden is playing the part now. Hes acting like a buffoon because that gets him his way. No one challenges him. Biden is actually a very nasty, sarcastic man and its his way or the highway and all his family knows it. So Gingrich is probably right here. Joe is not as senile as we think and this is the real Joe Biden we are seeing. Hes been in Congress 50 years. Ask yourselves why no one made him President years ago? Because hes not qualified. Hes buffoon and bluster, not scholarly.
